Just some of the bulls that were sold at the Roma sale
A large crowd of buyer and interested onlookers gathered at the Roma Saleyards for the Roma Simmental and Simbrah Sale on the 12 September 2008.
The sale cleared 75 bulls ( 86% clearance) for an overall average of $3926.00. The top sale price of $8500.00 was paid for Navillus Park B012 (P), Ryan and Dexter Sullivan, Navillus Park Simmentals Kingaroy, by Trevor and Jenny York Hyde Park Simmental Wallumbilla.
Hyde Park who were one of the largest vendors selling 15 commercially breed bulls for a $4467 average hitting a top of $6000 twice.
Scott, Wayne and Luke York Billa Park Stud sold 11 for a $3363 average. The Moore Family Lucrana Simmentals, Texas cleared their draft of 15 for a $4067 average.
Quality Simbrah bulls were also in demand with 11 selling for a $4045 average. Topping the Simbrah market at $7500 were Barry and Doreen Cooke Beauchamp Simbrahs Miles, with Beauchamp 354 selling to the Allen Family, Erne Blackall. Dan and Kristie York Wattle Park Simbrahs sold 6 bulls for a $4417 average with a $7000 top price for Wattle Park 227 to Darren and Michelle Parker of Hiverville.
