The show runs from Thursday the 15th of May to Sunday the 18th of May at the Bendigo Showgrounds. The feature sale is on the Sunday starting at 2 pm. Further info on the event is available at www.nationalbeef.org.au.
"Compton Park Arnie. Tattoo ZCWP A002. Born 24/12/2005 at 41 kg. 48 cm mature scrotal circumference. Arnie has two big goggles and is a solid tan colour. Compton Park Arnie has sired two excellent heifer calves out of heifers that calved at 22 months of age. Arnie was 846 kg on 6/2/08 with a frame score of 7 at 150 cm. Arnie won Champion Interbreed Bull at Tatura Ag Show on 15/3/08. Arnie is out of a polled daughter of Barana Larry. His grand dam is now a rising 12 year old and is still producing calves every year. Compton Park have 7 animals in the herd that are directly related to Arnie which suggests the quality being produced by this female line. Arnie’s sire is out of Classic Penny’s dam, Pennylane who goes back to Piggottrange Penny Lane which is very well known. Arnie carries the proven genetics of Neff, Hubert, Penny Lane, Larry and Ransom. Arnie has never had his feet trimmed. "Compton Park Classic Penny. Tattoo ZCWP C001. Born 5/3/07 at 45kg. Penny has two big goggles and is a light red color. Penny won Reserve Champion Junior European Breeds Female at Tatura Ag Show on 15/3/08. Seen cycling regularly offered un-joined for purchasers choice of sire. Penny is by a son of Kelly View Paul who has left us a very even line of quiet cattle. On her dam’s side she goes back to the elite cow Piggott Range Penny Lane who herself produced over $100,000 worth of progeny. Her pedigree carries proven genetics such as Omega, Piggottrange Hubert and Emperor. Penny is very smooth and clean through the shoulders.
