Simmentals sell to $6,500 at WA Supreme Bull Sale, Brunswick |

Six Simmental studs sold bulls at the WALSA multi-breed WA Supreme Bull Sale at Brunswick in February. 14 of 22 Simmental bulls sold to a top of $6,500 and an average $3,875. Most of the bulls passed in at auction sold after the sale. Rob & Minnie Italiano, Rosemont Park Simmentals secured the top price of $6,500 for the 1025 kg Rosemont Park Zottle, by Grimich Park Primus S52. He was purchased by first time Simmental buyers DJ & MDJ Milne, Esperance who were attracted by his frame and muscle to add muscling to their calves from Hereford cows. Vern Pitter, Waroona paid $3,500 for Rosemont Park Zimbo . David and Audrey Weightman, Topweight Simmentals, Margaret River, secured the top average price of $4,583 in the Simmental section. They sold 3 bulls with their top priced $5,500 bull Topweight Admire A Bull, selling to Colin Thexton, Independent Rural Agents, Pemberton. Brad & Sylvia Patterson, Bullock Hills Simmentals, Kattaning, sold four bulls for a top of $6,250 and a $4,313 average. Their top bull, Bullock Hills Ali, by BHR Three Sixes, sold to RH & SJ Manning, Busselton. The Mannings bought another, Bullock Hills Assassin, also by Three Sixes for $4,500. Bernie and Francine Dulex, Suissebrise Simmentals, Boyup Brook, sold their bull Suissebrise Amigo, by BH Right Time for $2,750 to G & G Brunetto, Kewdale. Paul Tuckey, Mubarn Simmentals, Pinjarra, sold his bull, Mubarn Achilles for $2,500 to Blythewood Past Co, Pinjarra. The WA College of Agriculture, Inlet Views Simmentals, Denmark, sold Inlet Views Apache for $2,500 to RH Norman & Son, Busselton.
