Caringa Simmental Bulls Sell to $6,800 in the West

 

Caringa Simmental stud, operated by Lindsay and Tracy Yates, Bindoon, WA, experienced another strong on property bull sale in January.

24 Simmental bulls sold to $6,800 and a strong average $3,492.

Top selling lot, lot 1, was Caringa Eagle Rock, by Caringa Hercules Y139, which sold for $6,800 to repeat buyer and buyer of last year's top selling bull, KE & JM Pech, Gnowangerup, who plan to use him in their 450 Simmental/Poll Hereford herd. Weighing 894kg, Eagle Rock was polled, well muscled and an impressive set of EBVs. They purchased a second bull after the sale.

Another repeat buyer, HJ & K Stokes & Sons, Mingenew purchased two bulls at $5,200, Caringa Midnight Sun and $5,100 for Caringa English Ale.

Volume buyers were repeat buyers, I & J Minty & Sons, buying three bulls at $4,000, $2,600 and $2,500. Waterfront.

The Catholic Agricultural College, Bindoon, selected the 914 kg Caringa Dream Time for $4,500 to add to their stud's sire battery.

Lindsay and Tracy were pleased with the sale result, citing a higher top price and solid support from repeat and new clients.
