Nu-Plains Simmentals, WA Sell to $5,250

Norm Trigwell’s inaugural Simmental Bull Sale achieved a good result, with more bulls sold for a higher average than when the stud sold in a combined sale last year.

12 bulls sold at auction to a top of $5,250 and an average $3,229. Further sales were achieved post auction.

Top price was paid for the well muscled, high EBV bull, Nu-Plains Zalman by Ray and Lesley McDonald, Karridale, who will use him in their Angus/Friesian vealer herd.

Long term clients, Melrose Enterprises, Donnybrook, secured Nu-Plains Zenoa for $4,250. They also bought Nu-Plains Zagon for $3,000 and a third bull for $2,500.

L & M Dellagostino, Esperence, secured a draft of four bulls, Nu-Plains Zoran for $3,000, Nu-Plains Zero for $3,000, Nu-Plains Zephan for $3,000 and Nu-Plains Zador for $2,500.

DV Brockman, Cowaramup, secured two bulls, Nu-Plains Zenith for $3,250 and Nu-Plains Zion for $3,000.

S.E.B., Badgingarra, purchased two bulls for $3,000 and $2,500.

RH & SJ Manning, Busselton, bought Nu-Plains Zircon for $3,000.
