Simmental stud, operated by Lindsay and Tracy Yates, Bindoon, WA,
experienced another strong on property bull sale in January. 29
Simmental bulls sold to $9,000 and a strong average $3,952. Top selling lot, lot 1, was Caringa Eldorado (P), by Caringa Persiaprince, which sold for $9,000 to repeat buyer KE & JM Pech, Gnowangerup, who plan to use him in their 450 Simmental/Poll Hereford herd. Weighing 916kg, the 21 month old Eldorado was polled, well muscled and has 100/100 eye pigment. Lot 2, Caringa Snow Hawk, by Caringa Single Malt, fetched the second top price of $6,900, selling to long term Caringa clients, HJ & MC Hann, Esperance. Caringa Talisker sold for $6,200 to Kalmer Past Co., Beverley. Caringa Prairie Wolf sold for $5,300 to SA Petchell, Pinjarra. Caringa Oregon sold for $5,200 to G & JM Perrella, Northcliffe. RA Rogers, Tammin, snapped up Caringa Scottish Legend for $5,100 and Mardo Grazing Co., Dandaragan bought Caringa Kipling for the same price. HJ & K Stokes & Sons, Mingenew purchased Caringa Captain Sparrow for $5,000. Long term supporters, I & J Minty & Sons, Dandaragan, purchased three bulls to a top of $4,900. The bull draft included three with South African blood. Lindsay and Tracy were pleased with the sale result, citing a higher top price and solid support from repeat and new clients.
