Simmental
females were keenly sought by a large buyer attendance at the Brewer
Female Production Sale, Wodonga, Vic on November 5. 47 Brewers Simmentals sold to a top of $6,250 for an average of $2,280 and an impressive clearance of 89%. Buyers were represented from Victoria, NSW and Queensland. David and Tara Brewer were very pleased with the sale result, especially the mix of repeat satisfied clients and new buyers seeking the productive Brewer Simmental genetics. Merv Wegener, Walla Walla, NSW also presented a good line of his Tangara Simmental stud heifers, with 8 selling to $2,400 to average $1,865. Top
priced lot was lot 25, a polled cow & calf pair, Brewers Mishka
T151, by Penbro Park Pascoe, purchased for $6,250 by Doug and Jan
Bradshaw, Red Range, Wandoan, Qld. They snapped up a good line of 9
females for an average $2,994 to add to their high Simmental content
herd. Bill
and Elaine Sleep, Billanbri, Woolsthorpe, Vic, selected 9 lots for an
average $2,250 to boost their successful commercial herd. Their
purchases included lot 28, a cow and calf pair, Brewers Mishka T151,

year old polled bull, Brewers Bandit Y380 (P), BY Brewers Bandit S117

Cook’s Barana Simmental stud, Coolah, NSW, selected 8 females to a
top of $3,300 for lot 31A, a polled heifer, Brewers Suzie Z554 (P), by
Brewers Bandit V190 (P). T
J Boyer, Nar Nar Goon, Vic purchased 7 lots, while McPherson & Rothenberger, Kyalla
West, Vic, selected 4 lots and Stevans Enterprises, Bendigo, Vic
