$3,750 Top Price at Inaugural Colac Simmental Bull Sale, Colac, Vic |

The inaugural Colac Simmental Sale was held on April 8, with an offering of 22 well presented led and unled registered Simmental and Black Simmental bulls. Organised by the Association's Western Victoria Regional Group, the sale attracted ten Victorian and South Australian vendors. All entries were inspected presale both with on-property and at sale inspections. Top price of $3,750 was paid by L & M Millard, Birregurra for the 22 month old, 880 kg Black Simmental bull, Rellum Farms Yambha (P) offered by G and V Muller, Rellum Farms Simmentals, Mount Gambier. The Millard family also purchased the $2,000 Maverick David Cosh (P) offered by Peter and Agnes Schembri's Maverick Simmentals, Inverleigh. The 960 kg polled bull, Skillogalee Yogo (P), offered by Nawarra Simmentals sold for $3,000 to G. Seabrook, Colac. Also selling for $3,000 was Gunter Krohn's polled Simmental, Ingebyra Wenzel (P) to Dove Livestock. Maple Grange sold the 22 month old Maple Grange Yevgenyi for $2,000 to the Kerr family, Camperdown. Glen Thompson Past Co. purchased the $2,000 Dandavjon Dackson from Greg and Jeanette Huggins.
