The Introvigne family’s Bonnydale Simmental stud, Bridgetown, WA, mounted another highly successful on-property 9th Simmental bull sale in February 2005. A large attendance enjoyed the legendary Bonnydale Pre-Sale Bar B Que and bid strongly for the increased offering of bulls. The
sale posted an $7,600 top price, with 39 bulls achieving
an impressive $4,085 average. The top priced bull, Bonnydale Cold Chisel, was purchased by return buyer, Mick Scott, EA Scott, Rosabrook. Sired by Tusmore MrEnforcer, the 924 kg featured low birthweight EBV (+1.9) and good growth EBVs (+17, +25, +26 for 200, 400 and 600 day wts). Mr Scott also liked the bull for his conformation and softness. Mr Scott also purchased Bonnydale Cacius Clay for $6,400. The 992 kg Bonnydale Chaffcutter attracted spirited competition, selling for $7,200 to return buyer, Ernie Mondello, Ejeed Pty Ltd, Badgingarra. Bonnydale Cyclone, by Bonnydale Atomic, sold for $7,000 to RL & GM Giudici, Dardanup. L Wheatley & Sons, Brooklyn, snapped up two bulls for $6,400 and $6,000. Tempra Bros. Manjimup, selected three bulls at $6,200, $3,800 and $3,400. F. Pessotto & Sons, Manjimup, purchased Dirk Brook Canadian Club for $6,000. The Bonnydale sale attracted widespread interest, partly due to the csale attracted widespread interest, partly due to the catalogue and bull photos being available for viewing on the Simmental website.
