Simmental cross weaners again scored the top prices at the Naracoorte Weaner Sale on January 20.
Top price of $860 was paid by T & R Pastoral, Murray Bridge for a pen of 452 kg well muscled Simmental X Hereford weaners bred by TRS & MA Baker, Woonallee Simmentals, Furner, SA.
The Bakers sold 439 steers for an impressive $736 average.
LS Johnson & Sons, Naracoorte, sold 165 Simmental cross weaner steers to $810 to average $650 and 85 heifers averaging $550.
